Friday, February 12th, 2010: Well, I'm loving my internship and I've managed to squeeze in working on some freelance as well as my own illustrations. I finally got to painting up that Fathom drawing as you can see to the right and work continues on painting my children's book. Thanks for stopping by and feel free to contact me if you would like to commission me for some art. Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010: I haven't updated my blog because I've been busy with my awesome internship _.......well its a secret and if I told you I'd have to kill ya. In the meantime enjoy the sketch to the right and stay tuned for some finished art from me soon.
Friday, January 15th, 2010: I haven't updated my blog because I've been busy. I finished painting a page from my childrens book 2 days ago and yesterday I finished inking the following page. I took that page into Photoshop and I am laying down the flats today. I wish I could show more of the children's book but I won't because it needs to get published first. Each page has tons of detail like the pages I've shown and I hope someone picks it up. What else....oh yeah I added 2 more pages of sketches and you can see them at the very end of the sketchbook.
Wednesday, December 30th, 2009: I just updated the sketchbook with a few new sketches. I can't believe its almost January 2010, this year flew by fast.
Monday, December 28th, 2009: Today I resumed painting my children's book and I'm getting ready for the New Year to make it my most productive year ever. Well that is all, if you are interested in hiring me please do not hestitate to send me a message. Bye!
Thursday, December 24th, 2009: I just finished all three portrait commissions and have had no sleep. I should have been done earlier but errands and other things got in the way. The best thing is the client loved the results. Check it out on the right. Tomorrow, I resume painting on my children's book and Merry Christmas everyone!
Wednesday, December 16th 2009: Wow, I finished 1 out of the 3 portrait commissions and its 2:08 a.m.. Time to go to sleep and get some rest so I can be ready for tomorrow. Hopefully I can finish up #2 and get to #3 before the weekend so I can get back to my children's book.
Wednesday, December 9th 2009: I just finished the website redesign. Click on the Art Gallery and you will find it completely redesigned. Please let me know what you think via the contact form. Work continues on my freelance work and my children's book.
Monday, December 7th 2009: I worked all weekend on a tattoo for a friend. I think she plans on taking it to LA Ink to get it put on either her ankle or her waist. I had lots of fun drawing this one. I am also finishing up some portrait commissions which will be posted upon their completion and work on painting my children's book continues.
Monday, November 30th 2009: I'm finally back from vacation in Mexico and I had a great time with my family. I also got to see and do lots of research about the Aztecs which will undoubtedly make it into my children's book. In the next few days, I'll be posting some new art as well as perhaps redesigning the entire website to make it minimalist in design and organized.
Monday, November 16th 2009: Well, today was a busy day but I can't wait for tomorrow because I'm going to Mexico! I am going to be doing research by taking lots of photos and seeing the Aztec ruins firsthand which will help me as I finish painting my children's book. I won't be able to scan nor update my website with any new art but when I come back expect a huge update because I am taking at least 9 sketches to finish into lineart with me.
Friday, November 13th 2009: It's Friday the 13th, ahaaaaaaahhh! Just kidding. Anyhow, I have attached a sketch of one of the portraits I'm currently drawing on the right which I will then be scanning in later today so I can start painting them Monday. Tuesday is going to be exciting because I am going to do some research for my aztec children's book on location.
Thursday, November 12th 2009: I've been working on a three portraits for a client, they are coming along really nice. I started monday and tomorrow I will be painting them. The website redesign is something I will get to Saturday and Sunday.
Friday, November 6th 2009: I've uploaded some sketches to my deviantart account so if you want to see them, click on the button below. I'm also going to add a sketchbook section on the redesigned website so you will be able to see that sketches in their own seperate section. It should be up in no longer than a week so stay tuned. :)
Thursday, November 5th 2009: Working on another really cool freelance gig as well as finising up a tattoo. I also have to continue painting my childrens book as well as finishing up some character designs for comic ideas I have as well as sketching out the next version of this website. Yup, I am going to completely redesign this website so people can see work in seperate sections and its all more intuitive. Stay tuned!
Wednesday, November 4th 2009: I just finished a portrait commission today. Rather than stay in my comfort zone and take the usual route of drawing the entire illustration by hand, I started the drawing digitally, printed it out on toned paper and then added the highlights with a white colored pencil. I finished it faster than I thought and you can now see it by clicking on the "Art Archive" button below and looking at the first drawing on the commissions section.
