Here's the 17th card of 25 cards that I illustrated for Upper Decks 2018 Marvel Premier set. The Winter Soldier aka James Buchanan Barnes is the ultimate assassin. James 'Bucky' Barnes was the appointed sidekick of Captain America after Bucky underwent rigorous training. Cap and Bucky were on a mission against supervillain Baron Zemo trying to prevent a bomb launched from an experimental drone when the bomb exploded and threw Captain America into the icy North Atlantic making him a capsicle. Bucky's body was never found so he was presumed dead by U.S. forces. Russian General Vasily Karpov found Bucky, who when awoken had no memory of his previous life and therefore became a perfect candidate to mold into the ultimate assassin through reprogramming. The Winter Soldier was born as he was sent all over the globe on assassinations but his memory implants became unstable so he was put in stasis between mission to prevent rebellion.
