It took 4 weeks to diagnose and repair my computer at the local computer shop but I am glad to report it is back in my hands and therefore time to finish my creator-owned children's book. Apparently the motherboard died and the sound card from creative was causing blue screen crashing when booting. The motherboard has been replaced and the sound card has been recycled which is fine since the motherboard already provides solid sound quality. Stay tuned for exciting times ahead chums!
